Our Services
Parent Coaching & Home Programs
What Is Parent Coaching & Home Programs?
Parent coaching involves working directly with families to embed communication and language strategies into everyday routines, rather than relying only on clinic‑based therapy. Home programs are planned sets of activities designed to be carried out between sessions.

Who Is This For?
Families who want to build their own confidence using communication strategies in daily routines, either alongside direct therapy or as a stand-alone support. It suits parents, carers and support workers ready to learn practical techniques during daily life and learning tasks.

Benefits
Research in Australia shows that parent involvement and home practice are central to effective communication intervention and outcomes, especially for young children. Coaching can help families feel more confident supporting communication in their own environments, which increases the amount of meaningful practice children receive each day.

How We Help
What To Expect
Sessions may take place in the clinic, home or via telehealth, with the speech pathologist modelling strategies, providing feedback, and co‑designing realistic home activities. Families receive home practice resources so they can confidently use strategies during play, meals, routines and community outings.
Our Techniques
We draw on family‑centred and early‑intervention frameworks, such as coaching, collaborative goal‑setting and routine‑based intervention, in line with professional standards. Strategies are tailored to each family’s priorities, culture and schedule to support long‑term sustainability.
Real Life Targets
Targets might include building vocabulary and sentences during everyday routines, expanding sentences in play, practising speech sounds in short home games, or using AAC consistently across family activities.
